The Mind-Body Center of Louisiana offers a variety of mind-body services for individuals, groups, and organizations.
Let us come to you! All our programs can be provided on-site at your business, non-profit, government agency, or faith-based organization.
Off-site programs are available in New Orleans in Mid-City and Uptown; on the Northshore in Covington; and in Baton Rouge.
Programs and costs are tailored to meet your needs and your budget.
Our services are for children, teenagers, and adults. Programs are offered in English and Spanish.

Mind-Body Programs
Mind-Body Medicine Workshops – provide an overview of mind-body medicine and a sampling of techniques. Workshops are typically 1 – 3 hours, and are a great introduction of mind-body medicine. Workshops can also focus on a specific mind-body skill or topic.
Opening Guided Imagery for Relaxation, Emotional Healing, and Optimal Health - In this 2-hour workshop the facilitator will present the purposes, benefits, and types of guided imagery, “directed daydreaming.” The emphasis of the workshop will be experiential - participants will be guided through several different imageries. There will be time for reflection and discussion throughout the session. The workshop will close with basic instruction for leading guided imagry.
Saturday, June 19th, 2 – 4 pm at 4902 Canal Street, Suite 404. Cost is $30. Pre-registration required. Facilitated by Marie T. O’Neil, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Mind-Body Medicine Practitioner.
Mind-Body Skills Groups – provide a more in depth exploration of mind-body medicine. Groups typically are 1 ½ – two hours, and consist of 6 – 12 sessions. Each group focuses on a particular mind-body skill and has three components – instructional, experiential, and discussion. Emphasis is on integrating mind-body skills into daily living.
The next Mind-Body Skills Group will begin Wednesday, July 14th, 2010. In this eight-week series participants will experience a variety of mind-body skills including meditation, yoga, mindfulness, biofeedback, and guided imagery. These simple and powerful forms of self-care have been proven to be effective in dealing with stress, life changes, and illness. Each two-hour session will focus on a particular mind-body skill. Emphasis will be placed on integrating mind-body skills into daily life. Participants are asked to commit to attending all eight sessions.
Group will meet Wednesday evenings, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, at 4902 Canal Street, Suite 404. Last group will meet September 1. Cost is $320 for series, sliding scale availale. Pre-registration required. Facilitated by Marie T. O’Neil, Licensed Clinical Social Work, Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Mind-Body Medicine Practitioner.
Professional Trainings – training in mind-body medicine for professionals such as medical doctors, nurses, teachers, and social workers. Typically 2 – 4 hours. Continuing education credits offered for some trainings.
Mind-Body Retreats – an extended opportunity to experience the benefits of mind-body skills in half-day, day, or weekend format.
Corporate Wellness Consultation – for businesses, non-profits, and government agencies. Mind-body workshops, groups, trainings, and retreats offered on or off site. Consultation on developing and implementing wellness programs in the workplace.
Individual Mind-Body Sessions – several MBCLA faculty offer individual sessions through their private psychotherapy practices. See Faculty. Individual sessions can focus exclusively on developing a personal mind-body skills practice, or can combine traditional psychotherapy with mind-body techniques. Individual sessions are typically 45 – 90 minutes.
