Marie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Yoga Teacher, and Certified Mind-Body Medicine Practitioner. She has a private practice in integrative psychotherapy which combines traditional talk therapy with mind-body skills such as meditation, guided imagery, yoga, and biofeedback. These skills can be used to manage and alleviate stress, anxiety, depression, and insomnia; they can also be used to work through specific issues and stuck areas in a client’s life, such as relationships, work, grief & loss, and general life uncertainty. Marie also works in hospice and has a passion for teaching yoga and mind-body modalities to seniors, hospice patients and their families, and people living with cancer or chronic illness. Prior to moving to New Orleans in January, 2007, Marie was the Program Director of Garrison Institute’s Wellness Program, in Garrison, NY, where she worked closely with meditation teacher Sharon Salzburg. From 1999 – 2003 Marie lived, worked, and practiced meditation at the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies in Barre, MA.
